If you mainly want to sell through a public event marketplace, Eventbrite may be enough.
It depends on your ticket price. In the Netherlands Eventbrite charges 2% + €0.49 (Essentials) or 4% + €0.99 (Professional) per ticket, so the fee grows with the price: €0.99 or €1.99 on a €25 ticket. Tiqqo charges a fixed €0.79 excl. VAT per paid ticket, plus payment costs. Eventbrite does not state whether its fees include VAT and lists no separate processing fee for the Netherlands, so compare the totals at your own ticket price. For tickets under €10.01, Essentials charges €0.49.
If you want your own branded ticket shop, a fixed fee and a customer database you control, Tiqqo is a European alternative with iDEAL: €0.79 excl. VAT per paid ticket plus payment costs, free events free, and a built-in CRM and email campaigns. Other platforms organizers often compare are Weeztix, Ticket Tailor and CM.com; see our comparison overview.
By default Eventbrite pays out 3 business days after your event ends, and banks outside the US can take another 5 to 7 business days. Earlier payouts are only available to eligible organizers after their first event. In Tiqqo you request a payout from your available balance when it suits you.
Eventbrite builds audience lists from your buyers and lets you segment by past attendance and purchases, with 250 free marketing emails a day. It does not offer full customer profiles like a CRM. Tiqqo creates a customer profile from every order and includes segmentation and email campaigns.
Eventbrite lists events on its public marketplace, so part of your buyers may find your event there. With Tiqqo you sell through your own branded shop and grow a returning audience with your own customer data and email campaigns. Check your Eventbrite reports first to see how many buyers actually come from the marketplace.
