Tiqqo vs Universe (Ticketmaster)

Ticketmaster Netherlands has no public self-service pricing; organizers who want to start on their own end up at Universe, Ticketmaster's self-serve platform. Frequently asked questions

Can I sell tickets through Ticketmaster in the Netherlands myself?

Not with public pricing. Ticketmaster Netherlands says you can register and sell within minutes, but there is no public sign-up link or price list; you go through their sales team. Universe is Ticketmaster's self-serve platform, and Ticketmaster distribution is only part of the custom-priced Universe Pro plan.

What does Universe cost in the Netherlands?

Starter is 2% + €0.45 per ticket (capped at €9.95) and Standard is 2% + €0.95 (capped at €19.95), excl. VAT. Free events are free. Processing fees may come on top, because Universe's own pages contradict each other on this.

Is Tiqqo cheaper than Universe?

Tiqqo's service fee is lower for a typical ticket: on a €25 ticket Universe Starter charges €0.95 and Standard €1.45 per ticket excl. VAT, versus €0.79 excl. VAT at Tiqqo. Because Universe adds a percentage, the gap grows with the ticket price until the per-ticket cap is reached. Payment costs can come on top at both.

Does Universe have a CRM?

No. Universe offers real-time analytics and reports, and within Ticketmaster the fan relationship largely stays on the marketplace. Tiqqo builds a customer profile from every order and lets you segment and email your audience.

Does Tiqqo sell through Ticketmaster?

No. With Tiqqo you sell through your own branded ticket shop and grow your own audience. If Ticketmaster distribution is essential for your event, Universe Pro or Ticketmaster directly is the route.
