Tiqqo app for organisers - Guide

Create a scanner account and send the sign-in QR

Create a scanner account for each member of your door team and send a QR code they can use to sign in to the app straight away.

A scanner account is an account that can only scan and look up tickets in the Tiqqo app. It does not see revenue, finance or the dashboard on the website. That makes it the safe choice for volunteers, security staff and temporary staff at the door.

Create a scanner account

  1. In the Tiqqo dashboard, go to Organisation > Users.
  2. Click Invite new user.
  3. Enter the scanner's name and email address.
  4. Choose the role Scanner.
  5. Under Event access, choose:
    • All events, if this person scans at all your events;
    • Selected events, and tick per event which ticket types this scanner is allowed to scan.
  6. Send the invitation.

Create a separate account for each person, even if several people work at the same entrance. The scan history then shows exactly who scanned which ticket.

How the scanner signs in

There are two ways:

  • With a QR code. When inviting, tick Choose password for this user. The invitation then also contains a personal sign-in QR. The scanner scans it in the app and is signed in straight away.
  • With email and password. If you do not choose a password, the scanner receives a link to choose one themselves.

You can always send the QR code later with Send QR by email on the user. See Sign in with a scanner QR code.

Tip: create accounts well before the event

Have scanners sign in a day in advance and do a test scan. That way you do not have to solve camera access or invitation problems at the door. See the checklist for your door team.
