A good door starts before the doors open. Go through this checklist with your door team, preferably a day in advance.
A few days in advance
- Every member of your door team has their own scanner account. See Create a scanner account.
- Scanners with their own entrance, such as VIP, are limited to the right ticket types.
- The event's start and end time match the moment the doors open and close.
- Everyone has installed the Tiqqo app and is signed in.
- Everyone has done a test scan and allowed camera access.
On event day
- Internet tested at every entrance. The app needs a connection for every scan. Offline scanning is not possible. Test wifi and mobile data at the spot where you scan, not in the office next door.
- Plan B for internet. Arrange a mobile hotspot or a second provider if reception is poor.
- Phones charged. Bring power banks. Scanning with the camera uses a lot of battery.
- Right organisation and event active. Check at the top of the scanner which event you are scanning for.
- Agreements on exceptions. Who decides on Already scanned, Invalid ticket or a visitor without a ticket?
While scanning
- Ask visitors to turn up their screen brightness. Use the Flash at dark entrances.
- Can someone not find their ticket? Search by name or email and check in manually. See Search tickets and orders.
- Is a group arriving with one order? Check everyone in at once. See Check in a whole order at once.
- Keep an eye on the number of visitors inside via the event screen or the scan report.
After the event
- Revoke access for temporary team members. See Revoke access.
- Look at the scan report. When was the peak hour, and how many no-shows were there?
