With the Tiqqo app you scan tickets with your phone's camera. You do not need a separate scanner. Everyone on your door team can scan at the same time, each with their own phone.
Open the scanner
You can open the scanner in two ways:
- Tap the round Scan button at the bottom of the screen.
- Open an event and tap Scan tickets.
The first time, the app asks for access to your camera. Tap Allow access.
Scan for the right event
At the top of the scanner you see which event you are scanning for.
- If you open the scanner from an event, you scan for that event.
- If an event is live, the app picks that event.
- If you scan a ticket for another event, you get Wrong event. That way people cannot get in with a ticket for another night.
Scanning
- Point the camera at the QR code on the visitor's phone or printed ticket.
- The app scans automatically. You do not need to press a button.
- Check the result. Green means: valid, let them in.
- Tap Next scan to continue.
The app reads QR codes and barcodes (Code128). Your phone vibrates differently for a valid ticket than for a warning or error. That way you notice it even without looking at the screen.
Read what all the results mean in Scan results explained.
Scanning in the dark
Tap Flash to turn on your phone's light. That helps at dark entrances and with visitors' phones set to low brightness.
Multiple entrances
You can scan with as many phones at the same time as you like. Each ticket can only get in once. If a colleague at another entrance scans the same ticket, they see Already scanned with the time of the first scan.
Internet is required
Every scan is checked with Tiqqo straight away. That is why you need an internet connection while scanning, via wifi or mobile data. Without a connection you get Network error. Check the reception at your entrance well before the doors open.
