After every scan, the app shows a result. Use this overview to prepare your door team, so everyone knows what to do.
| Result | What it means | What you do |
|---|---|---|
| Valid ticket | The ticket is valid and now checked in. | Let the visitor in. |
| Already scanned | This ticket has been scanned before. The app shows the time. | See below. |
| Wrong event | The ticket belongs to another event. | Check the date on the ticket and redirect the visitor. |
| Invalid ticket | The ticket was not found, has been invalidated, or you are not allowed to scan this ticket type. | Look up the visitor by name. See below. |
| Outside event times | The event is not active at this moment. | Choose Scan anyway or Skip. |
| Network error | The app could not reach Tiqqo. | Check your connection and scan again. |
Already scanned
The app shows what time the ticket was checked in earlier. Possible causes:
- The visitor came in earlier and went back outside.
- A colleague at another entrance has already scanned the ticket.
- Someone else is using a copy of the same ticket.
Tap Details to see the order and the other tickets in that order. Was the first scan a mistake? Then you can undo it. See Undo a scan.
Invalid ticket
Possible causes:
- The ticket has been cancelled or invalidated.
- The code is not a Tiqqo ticket, or belongs to another organisation.
- Your scanner account is not allowed to scan this ticket type. For example, a VIP ticket at the regular entrance.
Look up the visitor by name, email or order number via Search. You then see straight away what is going on with the ticket. See Search tickets and orders.
Outside event times
Tiqqo uses the start and end time of your event as the scan window. If you scan outside it, the app asks whether you want to scan anyway. See Scan outside event times.
Network error
Every scan is checked live. With a network error, the ticket has not been checked in. Scan again as soon as you have a connection. If it keeps going wrong, read Scanner app troubleshooting.
