Tiqqo app for organisers - Guide

Scan outside event times

Why the app shows "Outside event times", and how to scan anyway, for example when doors open early or the event runs late.

3 min read

Tiqqo uses the start date and end date of your event as the scan window. If you scan a ticket outside it, the app shows Outside event times. That prevents someone from using a ticket on the wrong day.

What you see

The app shows the event times, for example Doors open 20:00 - 02:00. Below that you see the status of the ticket:

  • not scanned yet, in which case you can still check the ticket in;
  • already scanned at 20:14, in which case the visitor came in earlier.

Scan anyway or skip

  • Tap Scan anyway to check the ticket in anyway. That makes sense if the doors open earlier or the event runs late.
  • Tap Skip to not check the ticket in.

When you check in manually via search, the app also asks whether you want to scan in anyway outside the event times.

Prevent the message

Do you open the doors before the start time of the event? Then set the event's start time to the moment the doors open. You change that in the dashboard in the event details. See Add event dates, times and venue.

Note: when checking in a whole order at once, the app does not check the event times.
