Tiqqo app for organisers - Guide

Limit access to specific events

Give users access to certain events only and scanners access to certain ticket types only, so everyone sees exactly what they need.

4 min read

By default, a team member has access to all events of your organisation. With Event access you limit that. That way an external partner only sees their own event, and the team at the VIP entrance only scans VIP tickets.

For users: choose events

  1. Go to Organisation > Users and open the team member, or invite a new team member.
  2. Under Event access, choose the option Selected events.
  3. Tick the events this user has access to.

A user with selected events only sees those events in the dashboard and in the app. Creating new events, segments and campaigns are then not available.

For scanners: choose events and ticket types

For scanners you go one step further. Per event, you tick which ticket types the scanner is allowed to scan.

Examples:

  • A separate entrance for VIP: the scanners there can only scan the VIP ticket type.
  • A festival with a day entrance and a weekend entrance: split the ticket types across the teams.

Does someone scan a ticket of a ticket type they have no rights for? Then the app rejects the ticket. That way nobody gets in through the wrong entrance.

Note: no selection means no access

Do you choose Selected events but tick nothing? Then this team member sees no events at all. After saving, check that the right events and ticket types are ticked.

New events

Does a team member have access to All events? Then they automatically get access to events you create later too. With Selected events you have to add new events yourself.
